After a false alarm this morning , Mariah Carey tweeted about the close call she had with her twins as she nearly gave birth to them on her birthday!!

Following the secret handling of any information surrounding her pregnancy, Mariah and Nick have now revealed to the world they are due to be expecting a boy and a girl on the birth of their twins.

Again, we congratulate them both with a perfect combination.

It’s official! Since the news broke and was confirmed on Mariah’s much speculated pregnancy, fans and the public are now in for a treat! The couple are expecting twins, which was announced by Nick on US radio station 92.3 FM NOW after the secret was 1st shared with only President Obama and his wife Michelle at a recent event.

After months on speculation and denial around the subject, Mariah Carey has officially confirmed that she and husband Nick Cannon are expecting a baby in the spring.
Following an unfortunate miscarriage 2 years ago, the 40-year-old singer spoke with Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush about the good news and opened up about why it was so important to stay private and dealing with the earlier loss.

Yes, we are pregnant, this is true!” Mariah shared. “It’s been a long journey. It’s been tough because I’ve been trying to hold on to a shred of privacy.”

Joining his wife later in the interview, Nick said “It’s absolutely emotional, but for so many reasons…The greatest gift on earth is a child.”
We wish the couple much happiness with this good news!

Mariah Carey slipped over one of her designer shoes while performing in Singapore yesterday. While performing ‘Make It Happen‘ when she slipped and fell, but styled it out beautifully – like a true Diva!!!

Following her husband’s comments on a radio show a few days ago, Mariah has spoken out advising that not even here publicist knows the truth. Again not denying or confirming anything, although the comments do lead one to think perhaps there is ’something’ where privacy is needed on a matter she is yet to announce, being very superstitious. After images hit the net showing Mariah Carey looking quite ’rounded’, hubby Nick Cannon took to his US radio show yesterday to ’stifle’ growing rumours that his wife was pregnant.

“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it time and time again – when my wife feels like talking about whatever she wants to talk about, you will hear it directly from her…We all know it’s extremely personal, and it is for a woman to deal with things with her body, and especially when dealing with the idea of childbirth and all that stuff.”

“That’s something you want to keep near and dear and as close to you as you possibly can, until you’re 100% sure, in any situation …There’s a certain time limit you’re supposed to wait before you can actually officially say that you are and all that stuff. You don’t want to mislead anybody.”

Thanks Nick, we believe you!!

The news ‘confirms’ the rumours that have been running riot ever since Mariah dropped out of Tyler Perry’s new movie ‘Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf‘ after her doctor advised her not to work.

Carey, 40 and Cannon, 29 were married in 2008 after dating for only several months

Nick Cannon recently spoke about his superstar wife, Mariah Carey’s and how she DOES live up to the ‘rumoured’ demanding ways.

The presenter/rapper/video director claims that Carey takes five hours to get ready when they’re going out. Nick said on Lopez Tonight: “Imagine if you’ve got the diva of all divas. If we’ve got to be somewhere at five or six o’clock, I tell her it’s time to go at noon so she gets those five hours to do what she needs to do. We are both kids at heart. She is the funniest person ever and she has a great sense of humour. We connect at a spiritual level.”

Well….

The rapper/presenter thinks Mariah is the funniest person he knows and he would love to show off her comedic talents in a joint venture.

He said: “I’d love to do a film with Mariah. But it would have to be a comedy. She s the funniest woman in the world, she just cracks me up all the time.”

Mariah’s most recent big screen outing was as a dowdy social worker in Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire and she admits she felt tortured by the role, but believes it has made her a better person.

She said: “It was definitely a commitment to be seen looking that bad. I love Lee Daniels, the director, but he s a sick man. He wanted to torture me.

“But you know, it freed me in a lot of ways. I don t worry about certain things in the same way any more.”

After directing her new video for ‘Up Out My Face’, Mariah Carey has apparently lent husband Nick Cannon a hand – by writing songs for his new Nickelodeon TV movie School Gyrls.

Cannon says  ”She’s all through it. Mariah actually helped me write the script and if you listen closely, she also sings backup in the last song.”

‘School Gyrls’  is a musical comedy is based on three freshmen, each with a totally different personality to one another, who all love to sing and dance. They meet at a girls’ boarding school and take on a group of mean pupils in a competition.

I guess – think Glee Club between 3??

While Mariah  does not appear in the film, it has appearances from Justin Bieber, Soulja Boy, Angie Stone, Kristinia DeBarge, Reverend Run and Pete Wentz amongst others.
