The new single is at the top of the U.S. Billboard charts taking Lady Gaga’s ‘Born This Way’ off the top spot.
The forthcoming ‘E.T.’ video will launch on YouTube on March 31st and will also feature Kanye West.

MTV have announced today that Hollywood actress Eva Longoria is set to host this year’s EMAs taking place in Madrid on 6th November. Elated with the role of playing host, she commented;
“I am so excited to host the 2010 EMAs in the beautiful and sexy city of Madrid! I can’t wait to see some fabulous performances.”
Confirmed performers on the night include Ke$ha, Kid Rock, Kings Of Leon, and Katy Perry. You won’t have long to wait to see the show, the awards will be broadcasted across all MTV channels on 7th November at 8pm (UK GMT). Who do you think will have the best performance?

MTV have recently revealed the first batch of performers for this year’s Video Music Awards, due to take place on 12th September. The line up includes chart toppers Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Katy Perry, Usher, Pink and 30 Seconds to Mars to celebrate. All of the guests are indeed part of the nominations for numerous awards that are up for grabs.
Jay-Z is up for Best Hip-Hop Video, whilst his hit duet anthem “Empire State of Mind” with newly wed- Alicia Keys, appears in three categories; Best Collaboration, Best Cinematography and Best Direction. Usher, is up for Best Male Video, Best Dance Music Video and Best Choreography. Whilst Pink gets two nominations in Best Direction and Best Editing and Katy Perry is up for Best Female Video and Best Pop Video.
It will be interesting to see who wins what at the star studded event. Who do you think deserves to win?
