Cheryl is planning to meet Derek Hough’s parents for the first time later this month, it has been claimed.

According to The Mirror, Cole’s mother Joan Callaghan will join her daughter in meeting the Dancing With The Stars’ parents in Los Angeles. A source said: ‘Derek is winding up Cheryl, saying his step-dad is just like Robert De Niro’s character Jack in Meet The Fockers!’

‘The plan is for all the parents to go for dinner, somewhere low-key and non-intimidating.’

Simon Cowell believes his X-Factor co-judge Louis Walsh has a crush on Nicole Scherzinger.

Scherzinger, 32, was one of the guest judges on the British talent show, covering for Dannii Minogue while she is on maternity leave. Cowell said to UK newspaper Daily Star: “He’s definitely in love. Louis hasn’t smiled like this for a long time. He’s like a lamb on a spring day – I’ve never seen him like this, it’s very sweet.”

He added: “It’s like a duckling who’s been rescued by a dog, and the duckling then follows the dog around, thinking the dog is its mother.”

According to Simon Cowell, Cheryl is “better and feeling perky” after she was struck down with malaria.

Cheryl Cole’s estranged husband Ashley has been asking pals about her new friend Derek Hough.

Cheryl, 27, was recently admitted to hospital with malaria after a trip to Tanzania with dancer Hough, 25.

Ashley, 27, who is estranged from the singer, has reportedly been asking TV assistant Marla Jackson about Derek, after hearing she worked with him on US show Dancing With The Stars.

Jackson said to UK newspaper The Sun: “He was fascinated by Derek. It was clear he’s jealous. He asked whether Derek was a good bloke. My reply was ‘Yes’. Derek’s the nicest, most caring man I ever worked for.

“He asked if Derek had had a lot of girlfriends, what his sense of humour is like and whether he’s a big drinker.”

Cheryl Tweedy was diagnosed with the disease only hours from death’s door and has been drifting in and out of consciousness.

Currently unable to talk following her battle with malaria,  singer has turned yellow from jaundice, is still on oxygen, and was hours from death following her infection with the disease, believed to have been caused by a mosquito bite while she was holidaying in Tanzania with her rumored boyfriend Derek Hough.

“We nearly lost her and the battle is far from over. She is so weak and this horrible illness has taken complete hold of her,” a source told the News of the World. “It got so bad she was literally only hours from death’s door. Thank goodness she was diagnosed in time.”

“Even now she can’t talk. She drifts in and out of consciousness and when she comes round all she can do is sob. There was no news coming out of the hospital because it was all so touch and go. We couldn’t give any assurances to fans because there weren’t any to give.”

The insider added she was still in a “very serious” state despite leaving the London’s University College Hospital late last week to be treated in a private clinic. The source said, “Seeing Cheryl like this is so painful. She could easily have dead. And she’s not better, she’s not even close. It’s still a very serious situation and she’s really going to have to battle.”

The source added, “Cheryl’s not going to be back for a long time. She won’t be seen in public for at least two months. This is a big wake-up call. She can’t go on as before or she’ll push herself to the brink again.”

Cheryl passed out while on a shoot for her new album, prompting her management to act on doctors’ advice and force the brunette beauty to pull out of Simon Cowell’s British pop star search show ‘The X Factor’ ‘ on which she is a judge – until further notice.

She apparently arrived at the north London studio looking ‘gaunt’ and ‘washed-out’ and collapsed unconscious just minutes after the shoot began. Cheryl was later diagnosed with severe exhaustion by a doctor, and tests revealed she was also suffering from a gastroenteritis bug.

A close friend of Cheryl told The Sun newspaper: ‘She should never have gone to the studio. She insisted she was fine, even though she clearly wasn’t. Her skin was pale and her lips had no colour. She’s run down and tired. That’s why she ended up with the stomach virus.

‘Eventually she just keeled over. It was horrible. She was only out for a few seconds but it was enough to give everyone, including Cheryl, a massive scare….It was a real shock to see her looking so ill. She looks terrible.’

The pop star ‘ whose second album is due for release in October ‘ is said to have dedicated herself to her career in the wake of her split from Ashley. Cheryl is now expected to take a minimum of seven days out from her busy schedule, before gradually returning to work.

Rumors suggest that the Girls Aloud star is enjoying his company so much that she has invited Derek to be her flat mate while he is over here work on Strictly Come Dancing later this year.

A source told the Sunday People: “Derek has been there for Cheryl through some tough times. Now she wants to bring him into her life even more,”

The X Factor judge will reportedly sell her Surrey mansion which she shared with her love rat hubby Ashley Cole to set up home with Derek and has already viewed a luxury apartment in London for them to live.

Friends are also rumored to be worried about Cheryl, with some suggesting she’s ‘close to breaking point.’ One ‘friend’ told Star magazine: “Cheryl’s really starting to feel the strain. She’s in need of a good rest….The past few months have been utterly exhausting for her. She says she would love a two or three-month career break.”

They added: “Cheryl adores her work, but she wishes she could just go somewhere to get out of the limelight for a while. She feels like she has become public property.”

We all ‘know’ events surrounding Cheryl Cole and her partner Ashley Cole, so it was only a matter of time before she went back to her old self again, back to when she didn’t know the football star.

In doing so a name change of course was on the cards and Cheryl Cole has now officially changed her name back to Cheryl Tweedy!

Ashley Cole has allegedly accused his estranged wife Cheryl Cole of ’stringing him along’ since their split.

This gets confusing as Heat magazine reports that ever since Cheryl began the divorce proceedings against the Chelsea footballer, Ashley has bombarded her with nasty texts.  

A source told the celeb magazine: “Cheryl’s at her wit’s end. Since she filed divorce papers, Ash has been constantly texting her nasty messages, accusing her of making a fool out of him.”

“Ashley is in a bad place right now and he is taking it out on Cheryl. In the beginning he was trying to do everything to win her back, but now he knows that isn’t going to happen he has become nastier.”

They added: “He’s bombarding Cheryl with texts, saying she has made him look like a fool by waiting so long to file for divorce.”

“He accused her of stringing him along. And he went crazy over the photos of Cheryl and her friend, dancer Derek Hough, driving to their home last week. He feels betrayed by Cheryl because she brought another man into their home.”

Ashley, who is currently in South Africa with the England team for the FIFA World Cup is now said to be dating Cheryl ‘look-a-like’ lapdancer Sarah Purnell.

Cheryl Cole has allegedly signed a deal with Will.I.Am’s US record label in an attempt to crack America!!

According to the Black Eyed Peas singer, who worked with Cheryl on her debut solo LP 3 Words, the pair are working together on new material for her next album, with the hope of releasing the record Stateside.

Will.I.Am told the Big Issue: “Cheryl’s dope, I like collaborating with her. We’ve talked about working on her next album, plus we signed her to the label in America.”

He added: “We’re figuring out how we go about it in the States. It has to be something really incredible done in a different way.”

Will.I.Am also dennied rumors that he wants to bed the X Factor judge, claiming: “I heard that, it’s so not true. Cheryl is a lovely girl. We’ve had the best time on tour, hanging out after the show and partying.”

Cheryl joins Kelis and the BEP leading lady Fergie on Will.I.Am’s record label with the possibility of Cheryl’s new album being released later this year too!!

The Black Eyed Peas star’s mother Debra Adams revealed the pair have grown increasingly close since touring together and claims the producer is ‘very fond’ of the British singer –who split from husband Ashley Cole in February after he was unfaithful to her.

She said: ‘Will is very fond of Cheryl. He says she’s an amazing woman. His feelings for her have grown from friendship into love and they’re good for each other.’

Debra also admits she is excited about meeting the ‘Fight for This Love’ hitmaker in the near future.

She told LOOK magazine: ‘I can’t wait to meet Cheryl. He’s told me lots of good things about her. Will has promised to take us out for a meal together next time the two of them are in Los Angeles.

‘I give them my blessing. I like her and she seems like a nice girl.’

Florence & The Machine, Dizzee Rascal, Tine Tempah, Ellie Goulding, 30 Second To Mars, Kelly Rowland, MGMT and Justin Bieber are a few names to add to the list but music and royalty meshed this weekend as Prince William and girlfriend Kate Middleton were spotted enjoying sets from Ellie Goulding and Tinie Tempah.

Today was Day 2 and had performances from the likes of Rihanna, JLS, Ke$ha, Jason Derulo, Marina And The Diamonds, Pendulum, Paramore, Pixie Lott, Vamire Weekend and Paolo Nutini.

At a Cannes dinner and party hosted by luxury jewellery company De Grisogono, Cheryl arrives at the star studded event looking beautiful!!

Cheryl performed for the alleged earning of a staggering £8,333,33 a minute. Wearing the same attire as she had previously worn for her debut solo tour supporting the BEP, Will.I.Am hit the decks and partied for most of his two hour DJ set at the event.

Before his DJ stint, an insider told The Metro: “Will.I.Am thinks the world of Cheryl and this shows it. All the biggest showbiz names will be there – having her by his side is just the icing on the cake.”
Rumours are rife as the two have been pictured dancing and cuddling as they posed for photos together and are reportedly planning a ‘romantic weekend’ in Barcelona, fuelling speculation over their close friendship.

Fergie of the B.E.P’s has reportedly revealed that she wants to bed Cheryl Cole.

Fegie has apparently made the claim while teasing Will.I.Am over his relationship with Cheryl whilst they have been touring together.

A source told The Sun: “Fergie has been telling everyone she’s more likely to sleep with Cheryl before Will does….Everyone has been teasing him about his crush. But when Fergie came out with this, everyone fell about laughing. The insider added: “She’s mentioned it a few times now. And even Cheryl thinks it’s hilarious…” The rest of the band have followed suit in teasing Will.I.Am after reports suggest that the pair have been spending a lot of time together whilst touring Europe.
